your profile

phototaker-pelooc

overview

Your profile is your first impression to photolover, where they get to know something about you, see your portfolio and fall in love with your photography, leading them to finally hit the button and book a photo shoot with you.

We have designed an aesthetically pleasing layout that will help photolovers to easily find all the relevant information to guide them in their choice.

And here we’d like to share with you some useful tips on how to create a compelling profile to stand out and get booked!

  1. Don’t be too mysterious and choose a profile picture where your face is visible. This will help break the ice, build trust and facilitate the photolover to recognize you when you meet.
  2. Bio – make it interesting! Share fun facts or details about you that go beyond photography. Something one on a million can relate to, something unique about yourself, or something that’s your real trademark – for instance: your favorite food/song/city, a little obsession, your motto or your favorite quote. It will raise curiosity and get people more excited about booking and meeting you.
  3. Specialties – select the type of photography you can master, (or where you don’t totally suck!) and among them, those that are most likely to be purchased by your targeted audience.
  4. For your portfolio, pick nine pictures that showcase your skills at best and that represent your specialties.

bookings

booking process

When a photolover books a photo shoot, you will receive an email notification including the following information:

  • services request
  • request date and time
  • name and contact details (phone number and email) of the photolover

What to do:

  • contact the photolover as soon as possible to confirm the booking and agree on the location and other details.

IMPORTANT. At this stage the photolover has purchased the photo shoot, so you should get in touch with your photolover as soon as possible after receiving a booking.

If you are not available at the date and/or time requested, you can reschedule the photo shoot and simply agree on a different time and location.

If you can’t agree on a new date and time, or you need to cancel the booking for any reason, you must notify the photolover and the platform as soon as possible. Read “manage your bookings” for details.

On the day of the photo shoot,we recommend you show up at the agreed meeting point at least 10 minutes in advance. Once the photo shoot is finished, you have 24 hours to deliver the pictures to your photolover. You can transfer the photos in the way you prefer, but we suggest you use a file transfer service live wetransfer.com or similar, rather than regular emails. Why? It’s fast, free and traceable, so you can always keep a delivery proof.

After delivering the pictures to your photolover, you must notify the platform that your order has been completed, so we can process your payment (which will take approximately five business days). To complete your order, go to the order completed page https://pelooc.com/phototaker-order-completed/.

manage your booking

Remember, photolovers pay photo shoots at the time of the booking, so it’s important that phototakers get in touch with the photolover to confirm/reschedule/cancel as soon as possible after receiving a booking notification.

CONFIRM A BOOKING

To confirm a booking, you are simply required to contact your photolover and confirm your availability and agree on the photo shoot location. When date, time and location are set, we suggest you send your photolover a text message or email summarizing all the information.

Confirmation message example: “Hi, this is Sara, your phototaker from Pelooc. Your booking on October 26th – 6 pm is confirmed. Location: Lenox Mall. See you!”

RESCHEDULE A BOOKING

To reschedule a booking, you are simply required to contact your photolover and agree on different date/time to shoot. When the date, the time and the location are set, we suggest you send your photolover a text message or email summarizing all the information.

Confirmation message example: “Hi, this is Sara, your phototaker from Pelooc. Your booking on October 26th – 6 pm is confirmed. Location: Lenox Mall. See you!”

CANCEL A BOOKING

Although rescheduling is always a preferred option than cancelling, we understand that you may need to do so. If you can’t reschedule a booking – to cancel it – you must contact your photolover to inform him/her you are no longer available and that they will receive a full refund.

Cancellation message example: “Hi, this is Sara, your phototaker from Pelooc. Thank you for choosing me as your phototaker. Unfortunately I’m sorry to inform you that this time I cannot confirm your booking. Your payment will be fully refunded, but you are welcome to book another phototaker on www.pelooc.com at any time. Thank you.”

Also, you must notify the platform, which will take care of issuing the refund to the client. To notify a booking cancellation, please go to https://pelooc.com/phototaker-order-cancelled/.

delays and no-show policy

delays

When accepting a booking, please consider that snags happen and your photolover might be slightly late.

So, make sure you consider a buffer time when scheduling two bookings in a row.

Delays over 15 minutes can be considered as a no-show. Please see the “no-show” section to know how to handle these kinds of situations.

no-show
